Award Winners and Fellows

AAPSE Fellows

Fellows are active members of AAPSE who were nominated by other active members to receive the honor of Fellowship, recommended by the Awards, Fellows and Honorary Membership Committee, and elected by the Executive Committee because of their meritorious service to AAPSE.  Fellow is the highest recognition bestowed by AAPSE.  Fellows are nominated because of their superior achievement in research; education; public service; personal achievement, recognition, and service; and have a minimum of 10 years of AAPSE membership.


 
AAPSE Honorary Membership
                                                                                                           
Honorary Membership recognizes sustained outstanding service to pesticide safety education and contributions that have had significant impact on the science and profession nationally or internationally.  Honorary members are selected from those individuals whose activities have been largely from outside AAPSE, but who have significantly contributed to the field of pesticide safety.  Honorary membership is limited to nonmembers.  No more than two Honorary members shall be selected each year.  



AAPSE Distinguished Achievement in the Certification and Licensing Program Award

The purpose of this award is to encourage, recognize, and reward outstanding contributions to the Certification & Training Program and the professionalism of pesticide safety education.  This is open to individuals involved in certification within the State Lead Agencies, Tribes, EPA or Cooperative Extension.  The nominee must be a current AAPSE member and have demonstrated excellent performance through program creativity, impact, achievement, and delivery.


AAPSE Distinguished Achievement in Education

The purpose of this award is to encourage, recognize, and reward outstanding contributions to the pesticide safety education and the professionalism of pesticide safety education. This is open to individuals involved in education within the State Lead Agencies, Tribes, EPA or Cooperative Extension.  The nominee must be a current AAPSE member and have demonstrated excellent performance through program creativity, impact, achievement, and delivery.


AAPSE Distinguished Achievement in Pesticide Safety Education by Industry Award

The purpose of this award is to encourage, recognize, and reward outstanding contributions to the professionalism of pesticide safety education by an individual from industry.   The nominee must be a current AAPSE member and have demonstrated excellent performance through program creativity, impact, achievement, and delivery.  No more than one Distinguished Achievement in Pesticide Safety Education by Industry Award shall be selected each year.


AAPSE Awards for Appreciation and Dedication to AAPSE (awards changed in 2007 to above designations)
